The Breast Center at the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center has been granted a three year full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.
The NAPBC represents a consortium of national, professional organizations dedicated to the improvement of the quality of care and monitoring of outcomes of patients with diseases of the breast. This mission is pursued through standard-setting, scientific validation, and patient and professional education.
NAPBC accreditation is granted only to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the best in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment and is able to comply with established NAPBC standards, including state-of-the-art services, a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best treatment options are used, and information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options are available.
Each center must undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of its performance and compliance with the NAPBC standards and centers must undergo an on-site review every three years to maintain accreditation.
The J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center is the only NAPBC accredited program in Ocean and Atlantic counties.
New Jersey CyberKnife congratulates The Breast Center on this prestigious designation. We are proud to be part of the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center with you and applaud your dedicated staff and physicians on a job well done!
